More than a B2B online store

For the company Förch, we are designing an e-commerce platform that maps the entire customer lifecycle: from initial contact to after-sales support.

Screws, dowels, mounting plates: The product portfolio of Förch GmbH is aimed at industrial companies and professional tradesmen. With 23 national companies in Europe, Förch is one of the leading suppliers in this sector.

The project involves much more than "just" setting up a B2B online store. The goal is a complex business portal, perfectly tailored to Förch's business processes and the requirements of B2B customers.

The Förch portfolio comprises over 100,000 different articles and product variants. We provide an overview - with clear information architecture and intuitive user guidance. From entry to checkout in just a few clicks.

Map business processes

Set up and manage cost centers, store order templates, organize releases: The Förch portal makes it as easy as possible for B2B buyers to process their orders efficiently.

Design user interface

Our UX designers create the user interface of the portal in close cooperation with our front-end developers. Our developers pay special attention to the responsiveness of the site.

Excellent usability, a wide range of functions and outstanding technical performance - this makes the new portal a USP for Förch.

In the conception phase, we define the most important user personas in joint workshops with Förch and develop the site's information architecture and corresponding user journeys on this basis. The goal: to guide all users to their desired product in the shortest possible way.

This is achieved, for example, by dividing the Förch portfolio into clear categories and prominently placing the product search directly in the page header. The following graphics show the information architecture of the site and an exemplary user journey for buyers of hexagon nuts.

Mobile first!

While comparable B2B portals or online stores are often designed solely for desktop users, at Förch we attach great importance to the mobile user experience from the very beginning.

All pages, including the product pages with technical product data and product tables, are designed in such a way that even smartphone users do not lose the overview on their compact screen. Finally, our front-end developers take care of the implementation and the corresponding page performance.
